The Public Pension Mess & COVID-19

As we all think about the coming tsunami of fiscal stress hitting the frostbelt, We can't forget that it is landing in many of our region's states on top of a serious structural problem of badly under-funded public pension systems. Dr. Raymond

Scheppach - former long-serving NGA Executive Director and Deputy Director of CBO, now serving as a Professor of Public Policy at UVA's Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy - has just published an excellent overview of these compounding problems in The Conversation, a great platform with which I had been unfamiliar. But now that I am, here's a shout-out to Ray for bringing it to my and now all of our attention.
